The two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, recorded 76,865 unit sales in October. Breaking last year’s festive record, SMIPL registered a 3% jump in October overall monthly sales as compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. The company sold 67,225 units in the domestic market and exported 9,640 units in October amid the pandemic. Exports saw an increase of almost 15% as compared to October 2019.
Commenting on the sales performance, Devashish Handa, Vice-President, Suzuki Motorcycle India, said: “Suzuki’s growth curve has continued into the month of October as well. We have surpassed our sales volume of last October. We are confident that new launches will further support our growth and help us sustain the continually increasing preference for Suzuki two-wheelers in India.”
