Hyundai Motor India has exported over two lakh units of its ‘Made-in-India’ Creta to global markets. Commenting on the achievement, S. S. Kim, MD and CEO, Hyundai Motor India, said: “Creta has established its supremacy as a highly aspirational brand among customers globally. The two-lakh export milestone achieved by Creta is a testimony to Hyundai’s undeterred focus and commitment to ‘Make in India, Made for the world’.”
In 2019, Hyundai Motor India exported 1,81,200 units with 792 customised variants according to country-specific preference and demand. With an export share of 26 % (2019) in passenger car exports from India, Hyundai Motor India’s export share has been rising consecutively for the last three years.
It also surpassed the three-million vehicle export milestone earlier in 2020, exporting Hyundai cars to 88 countries. At present, Hyundai Motor India exports 10 models – Atos (Santro), Grand I10, Xcent, Grand I10 (Nios) & Grand I10 (Aura), Elite I20, I20 Active, Accent (Verna), Venue and All-New Creta. Hyundai exports cars to 88 countries from India.
