The NTPC team beat 112 organisations and emerged as the winner of Chanakya (Business Simulation Game) National Management Games (NMG) 2020. The team has won the first prize for the first time in five years.
The NTPC Limited, in a statement, said that the team from NTPC Vallur, Tamil Nadu, emerged national champion after beating national level teams from 112 organisations.
The team comprised G. Chinnathambi, Manager, C&I Maintenance; P J. Senkguttuvan, Manager, Operations (Main Plant); J Yoginderkumar, Manager, Operation from NTPC, Vallur.
Located in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruvallur district, the 1500 MW Vallur Thermal Power Station is operated by NTPC Tamil Nadu Energy Company Limited and Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Company.
A combined team of NTPC Talcher Kaniha and SSC-ER II (Shared Services Center-Eastern Region II) from Odisha emerged runner-up in the southern regional round of Chanakya 2020.
Sixteen winning teams of NTPC Business Minds 2020 were nominated for the event and subsequently, two teams qualified for national finals. NTPC had won the competition in 2015 and finished runner-up in 2016 and 2017.
